A PERSON has been taken to hospital following a crash between a Land Rover and a motorbike in Rhuddlan.

Meliden Road was closed in both directions, near the Rhuddlan Golf Club, for more than two hours following the collision on Sunday, October 27 at about 3.30pm.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "We were at 3.37pm to a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision between a Landrover and a motorbike on the A547 by the entrance to Rhuddlan Golf Club.

"Colleagues from Welsh Ambulance were also in attendance. The road was closed for some time whilst the incident was dealt with and reopened at 5.35pm.”

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We responded with two rapid response vehicles and one emergency ambulance. One patient was transported to Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan.”

Onlooker and Rhuddlan county councillor Ann Davies said: “I visited the site after the collision. The road from Rhuddlan to Prestatyn was closed in both directions for over two hours with traffic being diverted through Dyserth .

“I hope that all parties involved make a speedy recovery.”
