SCENES showing Coronation Street's character Gemma Winter going into labour whilst 80ft in the air in a cable car in Llandudno will air next week.

In August, fans spotted cast and crew along with soap stars Dolly-Rose Campbell, who plays Gemma, and Sam Aston, who plays Chesney Brown, filming on the Great Orme.

Gemma is expecting quadruplets with ex-boyfriend Chesney.

Until now, Coronation Street have refused to discuss the upcoming scenes with a spokesperson telling the Pioneer "We don't ever confirm any filming details."

Preview pictures have now been revealed as well as some details about the upcoming storyline, but fans will have to tune into see if Gemma does give birth whilst up in the clouds.

A statement reads: "Escaping the cobbles for a day out to Llandudno. In a cable car, Chesney's romantic intentions are rudely interrupted when Gemma suddenly goes into labour.

"Having pulled the emergency brake, as the cable car swings in the breeze Gemma panics whilst Chesney calls an ambulance. Is Gemma about to give birth up in the clouds?"

The photographs show Gemma looking 'furious' as she discovers her mum Bernie has made the quads their own Instagram account.

Campbell and Aston filmed their scenes over three days in August.

It is understood the scenes will air on Wednesday, October 30.
