A SPIRITED night is on the cards in Caernarfon as Halloween creeps nearer.

Deep underground in the original 17th century cellars of the Old Market Hall horror lurks for those who dare to enter.

A House of Horrors II event is being held with the Old Market Hall team and Syrcas Cimera playing the part of zombies, witches, ghosts and ghouls.

The reputedly haunted Old Market Hall was built in 1832 on the site of a former 17th century mansion.

In the House of Horror, visitors enjoy a drink, a trip around a maze in the main hall, before descending into the chilling cellars.

A spokesperson said: " There are plenty of spirits in the Old Market Hall to give us a hand to help scare the wits out of any who goes down there. Just ask anyone who has attended one of our ‘medium’ nights!

"Each tour lasts about 15-20 minutes, you can just have a drink in the main hall, whilst listening to the screams of the other victims!"

Family sessions are Wednesday and Thursday, October 30 and 31st, between 2-6pm. There is also pumpkin carving crafts and skills with Syrcas Cimera.

There are less scary tours of the cellars, with more light. Drop in sessions or slots can be booked. (Booking highly advised.) Contact 01286 875444 or 07954171340.

The next medium night raises money for the Twthill Nursery School, and is on November 6.
