A PAIR of Flintshire children collected bags full of rubbish following a litter pick around their area.
Oscar Williams and Kuba Grzadzielski, both aged 10, - armed with litter pickers - completed the clean-up around Ewloe and picked up four bags full of litter.
The pair, who attend Ewloe Green Primary School, were inspired by fears that the discarded plastic could end up in the sea or entangle wildlife.
Oscar said: "We started by the school and picked some more up from the business park over the road - where there was loads of empty fast food bags.
"Plastic can really harm animals, especially sea life - so it's really important to make sure it gets recycled properly.
"There is it so much of it already in the ocean so we can't let any more pollute it."
And the pair have called on older children to follow their lead.
Oscar added: "I see a lot of teenagers dropping litter around Ewloe and Hawarden - we'd like to see them look after the planet much better."
