TWO people have been taken to hospital after a crash between a motorbike and a car on Anglesey last night.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene near Ysgol David Hughes in Menai Bridge at around 7.20pm.

The road had to be closed while emergency services dealt with the collision. Police urged motorists to avoid the area as officers cordoned off the road at both ends. A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called on Tuesday October 15 at approximately 7.20pm to reports of a road traffic accident involving a car and a motorbike near the Menai Bridge.

"We responded with one rapid response vehicle and two emergency ambulances. Two patients were transported to Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital, Bangor.”

The road was re-opened by around 9.30pm.
