A UNIQUE musical event comes to Newtown’s Hafren theatre this Saturday night, October 19, with Bardd, offering a 'dualingual global music fusion' journey from the bardic roots of Wales to a future funk disco where everyone’s on 'The One'.
It features the Young People’s Laureate Wales 2013-16 Martin Daws and the Double Wales Beatbox Champion Mr Phormula, augmented by outstanding multi-instrumentalists Neil Yates on trumpet/bass, and Henry Horrell on keys/guitar.
“We bring all that we are together into one beautiful groove: instruments, languages, musical styles hip hop, jazz, Celtic, drum‘n’bass and trip hop – it’s all in there representing Cymru to the fullest,” says Martin Daws.
Tickets are £11 from the box office on 91686 614555.
Bardd will also be playing at Aberystwyth Arts Centre on Friday, October 18.
