TWO people have been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Anglesey on Thursday afternoon.

A man and a woman were injured in a collision involving a grey Audi and a black Mazda Six on the A4080 between Llanfaelog and Aberffraw.

The road was closed for more than an hour as paramedics and police dealt with the incident which happened close to the Anglesey Circuit race track.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said they were called at around 3.49pm following the crash.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "We were called at 3.44pm to Ty Croes at the A4080 to a two-car RTC.

"We had two land ambulances at the scene and an adult female and an adult male were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries."

The road was cleared by around 5.30pm.
