STUDENTS are being urged to take care in the kitchen following a fire.
The incident happened on Wednesday, October 3 at student accommodation at Bangor University; Ffriddoedd Village is located in Upper Bangor and is the university's largest accommodation village.
There was 100 per cent fire damage to a pan and 15 per cent to the kitchen.
There was also smoke damage to the kitchen.
A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue said: "One crew attended from Bangor and one from Caernarfon."
A warning has gone out urging students to be safe following the incident.
For students that live in private rented accommodation, the landlord has an obligation to keep them safe from a fire.
Homes should have working smoke alarms fitted, close fitting doors and adequate means of escape from all areas.
The fire service offer a free safe and well check to ensure that rented homes are as safe as they should be.
