ONE person has been taken to hospital following an early morning collision in Wrexham resulted in a road closure.
Police confirmed the collision happened at around 7.30am this morning, close to Total Fitness by Rhosddu Bridge (B5101) but that the road was re-opened to traffic shortly before 9.30am.
A spokesman for North Wales Police said two Honda vehicles - a CR-V and a Jazz - were involved in the collision.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at approximately 7.34am to reports of a road traffic accident involving two vehicles on Rhosddu Road, Wrexham.
"We responded with one emergency ambulance and one patient was transported to Wrexham Maelor Hospital, Wrexham.”
Police had earlier asked motorists to avoid the area while they dealt with the incident.
