THERE'S exciting news for fast food lovers in north east Wales.
This is because fast-food giant KFC has announced plans for new stores in Flintshire and Wrexham.
The chain has identified locations in Mold, Broughton and Wrexham as prospective sites for new drive-thru venues, food court counters or restaurants.
KFC currently operates 850 outlets across the UK - with more than two dozen in Wales alone.
And that number may nearly double in the coming years.
A spokesman for the company said: "We have bold ambitions to have over 1,000 stores in the UK and Ireland by 2020 and we are looking to build over 50 new stores a year."
A drive-thru could be coming to Broughton Shopping Park and Mold, and drive thrus hoped for its existing restaurants in Queensferry, Flint and Wrexham.
