TWO acts from North Wales have made it through to the live final of Wales’ search for a star of Junior Eurovision.

The fateful vote will be held Tuesday, September 24, as part of S4C’s Chwilio am Seren Junior Eurovision final, that will broadcast live from Venue Cymru, Llandudno on S4C at 8pm.

Out of the hundreds of applicants, six acts have reached the talent show’s final.

Erin from Llanrwst is through to the final as well as Mackenzie and Rhiannon, from Llandudno and Bethesda.

Mackenzie and Rhiannon auditioned separately for the competition, but both will perform side by side as a duo act in the live final.

A spokesperson for the event said: "The three mentors, Connie Fisher, Tara Bethan and Lloyd Macey faced the challenge of choosing the final six, but the time has now come for the nation to decide.

"A winner will be chosen on the night to fly over to Gliwice, Poland, in November to represent Wales on the Junior Eurovision stage, performing in front of millions across Europe."

Manw Lili from Rhostryfan won her place to represent Wales last year in Minsk, Belarus, performing Perta by Yws Gwynedd on the European stage. This year, the song that has been specially created for the competition has been composed by former Eurovision competition performers, Sylvia Strand and John Gregory, who live in the Rhondda Valley. The song is called Calon yn Curo (Heart Beating), and the lyrics are written by rapper and composer Ed Holden.

Tickets to attend the live final in Venue Cymru, Llandudno, are available free of charge. Telephone Rondo Media on 02920 223456 or by e-mail jesc@rondomedia.co.uk.

The programme will broadcast on Tuesday night, September 24 on S4C.
