LLANDUDNO Amateurs Reserves picked up their first ever win in Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Division One thanks to a 2-0 home win over Llanfairfechan Town Reserves.

The newly formed side scooped a morale-boosting three points with two decisive moments late on, and after a cagey contest they were presented with a golden chance from the penalty spot on 78 minutes, which Mark Kelly successfully converted.

This swung momentum full in the hosts favour and they took full advantage on 82 minutes when Lee Fellas made the most of the space afforded to him and seal their success.

A stoppage time goal secured Betws-y-Coed a dramatic 2-1 home victory over an inconsistent Henllan side.

Sion Williams’ early opener for the away side on 12 minutes was cancelled out almost instantly by Ellis Payne Evans with 18 on the clock, and with the game heading for a stalemate it was left to Dan Spurce to split the two sides with a fine finish with virtually the final action of the contest.

Denbigh Development had a sensational showing in front of goal from Joel Rowlands to thanks for a thrilling 4-4 home draw with Penrhyn Bay Dragons.

The forward was in tremendous form throughout and claimed all four of the hosts’ efforts on the afternoon, but they had to settle for a share of the spoils thanks to strikes from Scott Kearney (2), Morgan Groom and Solomon Dickens.

Rhyl All Stars turned in an improved display before eventually falling to a 6-4 home reverse at the hands of Llysfaen.
