A LATVIAN woman living in Dublin appeared in court on Wednesday accused of trying to smuggle two Albanian men through a Welsh ferry port in a car.
Linda Jankovska, 24, of Cruise Park Drive, Blanchardstown, entered no plea to the allegation of facilitating illegal entry to Britain for non-EU citizens at Holyhead port in Anglesey on September 10.
Prosecutor James Neary told magistrates at Llandudno that the men had claimed asylum in Ireland.
Defence solicitor Richard Williams made no application for bail.
Jankovska was remanded in custody until a crown court appearance on October 3.
