A DRUG DEALER was jailed for eight years on Friday after being caught when a package containing a DVD case with amphetamine inside, posted from the Netherlands to his grandparents’ Gwynedd home, had been examined by the Border Force.
Recently married Jake Bowyer, 30, of Elm Road, Liverpool, who had the chance to study law at Bangor University, was convicted by a jury of being concerned in drug supply.
Messages on his mobile phone indicated involvement, Caernarfon crown court heard.
Gareth Williams, 27, of Pentre Felin, Criccieth, was jailed for 32 months after admitting involvement in supplying ecstasy with Bowyer during two months.
Prosecutor Elen Owen said a “dark net” account showed sales of £7,500.
Judge Peter Heywood said Bowyer was intelligent and confident. “I got the clear view you clearly understood the world of illegal drugs and were heavily involved in it,” he remarked.
Bowyer had claimed cocaine was for his personal use.
