A MAN has died following a road traffic collision in Amlwch last night.
At 10.16pm, police were notified of a collision involving a blue-coloured Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian on an unclassified road between Amlwch and Rhosgoch.
An ambulance was called, however, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A fire crew from Amlwch had also attended the scene.
Sergeant Raymond Williams of the Roads Policing Unit is appealing for any witnesses to come forward. He said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of the young man involved in last night’s collision.
“We are appealing to anybody who may have been travelling in the vicinity and who may have seen a pedestrian to contact us. We are also interested to hear from anybody who had been driving in the area just prior to the collision and who may have dash cam footage that could assist with our investigation.”
The road remains closed at this time.
