A LLANGEFNI group had a flood of responses to a recent art competition.
The Llangefni Flood Group recently had hundreds of entries after they asked youngsters to design them a logo. The group asked school pupils at Ysgol Corn Hir and Ysgol y Graig to design a symbol for its stationery.
Winner Matthew Butler, now 11, (who was 10 at the time of the competition) was in the last year of Ysgol Corn Hir. The entries were judged by Nicola Gibson curator at the Oriel Ynys Môn. Non Parry of the Llangefni Flood Group said: "Matthew's was selected as the best, it depicted an image of the town's clock, surrounded by flood water and with people looking in need of help."
Llangefni Flood Group is chaired by Ann Jones, and is helped by Natural Resources Wales, Anglesey County Council, Llangefni Town Council and Dŵr Cymru.
