A REGIONAL theatre company is on the look out veterans to take part in a new project in Wrexham.

Cat’s Paw Theatre is a North Wales/North West UK based theatre company who for over 20 years have specialised in issue-based theatre projects using Forum and other theatre genres to engage and motivate young people.

The company, which was founded in 1996, are planning a special project to start in 2020 in collaboration with Wrexham County Borough Council and the Royal British Legion to encourage 13 and 14 year olds in the area to explore and question the relevance of Remembrance in their lives.

David Alexander, who is involved in steering the project, is encouraging veterans to contact him with their experiences.

He said: "The company would like to speak to a number of veterans in the Wrexham area to find out how their experience might be harnessed to give the project credibility in the eyes of the young people.

"We envisage they might work directly with young people and with performers in the Company to develop an original piece of theatre which accurately reflects the experience of conflict."

The company have stressed that those involved will not be necessarily need to have experience of performing.
