A POLICE pursuit took place in the early hours of Friday morning after a burglary.
Officers stopped a vehicle travelling the wrong way down the A5, responding to the burglary in Caersws.
On Twitter, a spokesman for the Newtown Roads Policing Unit said: "Following a burglary in Caersws during early hours, 501 found an Audi that failed to stop. Pursuit authorised + West Mercia waiting with stinger. Audi went down the A5 the wrong way.
"West Mercia used tactical contact as it drove wrong way down M54. Enqs ongoing to I.D occupants"
Head of Specialist Operations Superintendent Jon Cummins added: "Teamwork on the borders of @DyfedPowys early this morning with @WMerciaPolice and our Roads Policing Units.
"Working together tackling travelling criminals committing offences in @DPPNewtown - together we’ll find you #1DPP."
