The car on the hard shoulder of the M606
POLICE have flagged up a case of a family whose car had nearly run out of fuel parked on the M606 hard shoulder metres from a junction.
West Yorkshire Police's Motorway Martin tweeted a picture showing the hatchback at the start of the slip road at Junction 2 for the Euroway business park.
He said: "You're on the motorway and your fuel distance to empty goes to 0 near to a slip road. The engine is still running.
"Do you drive down the slip road and stop somewhere safe or stop immediately on the hard shoulder and remain in your vehicle with all your family?
"I know what I'd do."
