GET ready for an upbeat night of solid gold hits and contemporary genius to close the summer in Llandudno.

Following his West End Debut at The Adelphi Theatre and winning The National Tribute Awards 'Best Theatre Tour Award’ , the incredible Barry Steele has set Venue Cymru in his sights once again to celebrate and commemorate the musical legacy of Roy Orbison in September.

The Big O. The man with the sunglasses. Roy Orbison delivered some of the world’s darkest and most emotional ballads remains one of the most distinctive performers in modern music with hits including Southbound Jericho Parkway, You Got It, Ooby Dooby, Only The Lonely, Running Scared, Crying and, of course, Pretty Women.

Who better to bring these timeless songs back to life than Steele, who has stunned audiences the world over with his uncanny ability to recreate the vocal talents of the legendary singer.

Steele said: "The show always undergoes an annual revamp, this year the show has a very contemporary feel to it, It also features chart busting hits originally performed by Jerry Lee Lewis, Procol Harum, Del Shannon, ELO, Tom Petty, Chris Isaak, The Spencer Davis Group and culminates in a stunningly brilliant accolade as the whole cast comes together to pay homage to the original super group The Traveling Wilburys, there is also elements of the symphonic arrangements from the last two Albums and we have found a song, written but never sung by Roy, and to be honest it’s a bit special!"

Steele is joined on stage a five-piece band and sensational guest pianist Boogie Williams as the production present original material written but never sung by Roy Orbison and showcase elements of the symphonic orchestration first heard on the recently released Albums.

With a feelgood factor built in, this show really does have something for everyone.
