THREE children were "seriously" injured after a collision on the A55 at Abergwyngregyn.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a silver VW collided with the central reservation of the A55 and landed on its roof on Wednesday, August 21.

The serious road traffic collision happened on the westbound carriageway at 8.30am.

According to the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust two patients were airlifted to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool and another driven by road ambulance to Ysbyty Gwynedd after the accident.

PC Eifion Jones of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have seen the silver Volkswagen travelling along the road prior to the collision to come forward.”

“We would also like to speak to anybody who may have dash cam footage from their vehicles prior to the collision.”
