STRUCTURAL building work on the new Conwy cultural centre, situated at Bodlondeb is on track to be completed by the end of September.
It is planned the building will open to the public before the end of the year.
A Conwy County Borough Council spokesperson said: “The building work is going well. The superstructure is scheduled for completion by the end of September, and we’re expecting the bespoke glass internal wall to be delivered at the end September/beginning of October.
“Work on the sensory garden and landscaping will continue into October, and the building’s systems will be commissioned.
“The fit-out will then take place, including the installation of bookshelves and library furniture, and finishing work in exhibition area and café.
“The library service can then start moving their stock into the building, with the aim of opening the library and café to the public before the end of the year.”
