A MAN is facing prosecution following an incident at a campsite near Caernarfon where four campers were injured by a vehicle being driven on site.
The incident took place at Rhyd y Galen campsite near Bethel in the early hours of Monday, August 19.
Jake Waterhouse will be appearing before Llandudno Magistrates Court tomorrow. A second man has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
The woman injured during the incident remains in a critical condition in hospital.
DCI Sion Williams said: “As a result of this disturbing incident, the Crown Prosecution Service has authorised charging a 26 year old man from the Manchester area with:causing serious injury by dangerous driving, dangerous driving, driving otherwise in accordance with a driving licence, driving a motor vehicle without insurance and failing to provide a breath specimen for analysis."
