IT turned out to be a very busy Denbigh and Flint Show for Clwyd YFC.
The stand was very well attended last Thursday, with ex-members, parents and current members in and out all day, to have a quick chat, a cup of tea and home made cakes.
Gwenno and Dafydd organised a few competitions for the members, such as the quickest to drive a nail into a pierce of wood, name the teddy and the strongest milk crate row.
Clwyd YFC had a visit from the Minister of Rural Affairs Lesley Griffiths AM to talk about the future of farming for the YFC.
The shearing competition was well attended, with Ilan Jones (Llansannan) winning the open class.
The intermediate section was won by Emlyn Jones (Capel Curig), while Rhydian Edwards (Uwchaled) triumphed in the juniors' competition.
Continuing the shearing theme, Clwyd YFC welcomed current world champion Richard Jones, from Corwen, to the stand for a demonstration with Gwion Evans (Llansannan).
Gwion is the current Royal Welsh open champion and the duo are both former Clwyd YFC members.
