A 27-year-old man on Friday admitted causing unnecessary suffering to a ginger cat by using a dog called Buster to attack it.
Justin Thomas Williams, of Lon Ogwen, Bangor, committed the offence in the South Stack area of Holyhead in March last year.
Magistrates at Caernarfon bailed him until August 22 for a pre-sentence report with all options kept open.
Ryan Rothwell, defending, said Williams may be assisted by the probation report.
Prosecutor Patrick Gartland said serious injury was caused to the cat.
