A 25 YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on Anglesey for a number of offences including affray and possession of a knife.
Officers were called following reports of a man in Amlwch acting suspiciously and the suspect, who is not from the area, was located and detained.
However, two officers were assaulted with one receiving hospital treatment, as they made the arrest.
Temporary District Inspector Ian Roberts said; “This is another example that highlights the daily risks officers take in the execution of their duty.
“Members of the public assisted the officers and we, as a team, are grateful to them. Amlwch is a small community and fortunately incidents of this nature are rare.”
