About half of accidental house fires are caused by electricity related to 'white goods', which include tumble dryers, washing machines, dishwashers and fridges and freezers.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service has a guide on how to use electrical appliances safely which covers sockets, maintenance and warning signs. For more information visit www.nwales-fireservice.org.uk/keeping-you-safe/at-home/looking-after-the-electrics/white-goods-safety
