A CONSTRUCTION vehicle has caught fire in Dyserth. 

A fire crew from Rhyl took more than 20 minutes to bring the vehicle fire on the High Street under control at about 12.45pm on Monday, August 5.

The vehicle, a Merlo telehandler machine was completed destroyed in the incident which was believed to be accidental.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received the call at 12.45 and the incident was under control by 13.11. 

The cause is believed to be accidental. There was 100 percent fire damage and vehicle was destroyed.

"There was also minor heat damage to the glaxzing on an adjacent garage. There were no reported casualties."
