LLANDUDNO Cricket Club’s successful All-Stars youth coaching scheme held its final session of the summer earlier this month.

The young hopefuls took to The Oval for the last time on Friday, July 19, ending a successful series of sessions that worked on all aspects of their game.

The All-Stars initiative is from the England and Wales cricket board and is aimed at children between five and eight-years-old, giving them the basics required to build a platform for a progressive future within the sport.

Coaches ran eight sessions every Friday evening, with the initiative beginning in May.

Lions’ overseas player Luke Kenworthy, together with the coaching team of Joe Lambe and Colin Price were on hand at the end of the final session to present those in attendance with certificates.

Each member of the All-Stars programme has now joined the Llandudno junior set-up as a result of their respective experiences.
