A QUANTITY of suspected Class A drugs and cash was seized in the Bangor area and six County-Lines related arrests made.
North Wales Police are making further enquiries following ongoing action in the city during the past two weeks.
County Lines is a term used to describe gangs, groups or networks that supply drugs from urban to suburban areas, across the country, including market and coastal towns, using dedicated mobile phones or ‘deal lines.’
They exploit children and vulnerable adults to move the drugs and money to and from urban areas to be stored locally.
District Inspector Jon Aspinall said: “This work is part of our ongoing efforts to tackle the supply of drugs coming into the area as part of our wider strategy to combat ‘County Lines’ crime.
“Possession and distribution of controlled drugs or the exploitation of vulnerable individuals will not be tolerated in our communities, and we’ll continue to make determined efforts to disrupt this unwelcome activity.
"We are determined to keep our communities safe, however we can’t tackle this problem alone.
"The key to all of this is intelligence and I cannot emphasise enough the importance of the community sharing concerns with us.”
