A COUNCIL is set to launch courses that help unemployed people return to work in sectors from construction to hospitality.

The series of free courses by Denbighshire County Council will also aim to support people who have a job but want to further their careers.

The Working Denbighshire project, in partnership with Grwp Llandrillo Menai, will involve five specialist 10-week courses in Rhyl from September. They include how to start a career in business administration, care, construction, retail and hospitality.

Working Denbighshire is part of the council’s services that support young people by improving skills and increasing the chance of employability. Its aim is to remove barriers into employment, reduce poverty and give young people the best start in life. In turn, this helps to build resilient communities.

The courses will be held at Rhyl Library and take place between 9.30am and 2.30pm, in conjunction with Coleg Llandrillo.
