A SCHOOL uniform recycle scheme aims to save families money.

Citizens Advice Denbighshire is running the scheme, which is being supported by Denbighshire County Council.

A school uniform pop up shop will run at the Pop-In Centre in Prestatyn on July 29 - from 9am until 1pm.

On July 30, 31 and August 1, the shop will be in the Ask Centre at Christ Church, Water Street, Rhyl, between 10am and 2pm.

Sue Parry, Rhyl office manager at Citizens Advice Denbighshire, said: "The scheme ensures children from all backgrounds, and in particular from low income households, look the same going back to school."

Parent and guardians can take clean, used and outgrown uniforms to the shops on the above days.

Citizen Advice Denbighshire are looking for volunteers to help wash, iron and prepare the uniforms and bag them ready for the event. Anyone with spare time, who would like to get involved, can telephone 01745 817638 or visit Citizens Advice Denbighshire on Facebook.

Required donation on days - £1.
