AN ELDERLY woman has been airlifted to Stoke after a serious incident outside a school in Abergele.
The woman was hit by a car outside Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan on Faenol Avenue.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We were called on Friday, July 12 at about 8.55am to reports of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in Abergele.
"We responded with one ambulance and we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance."

A resident told the Journal said: "It is so upsetting to see this happen. We do know the lady and she is in her 90s. We see her going shopping."
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service are also in attendance.
Crews were called at 9.02am and sent two appliances.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses after a serious RTC on Faenol Ave #Abergele this morning.
"One elderly female has been airlifted to hospital in Stoke. Any info or dashcam footage please call 101 ref 097616."
