A MAGICAL history tour of Anglesey has been organised by Bangor University.
Historians, staff and students from the university will be taking people on a journey through the island’s historic landscape.
The 'Magical History Tour of Ynys Môn' explores sites from Neolithic tombs to Romano-British roundhouses to medieval mottes (mounds.)
Karen Pollock, lecturer in Archaeology, School of History, Philosophy and Social Sciences, who is one of the tour organisers, said: “Ynys Môn or Anglesey, is an island with a unique and fascinating past. Remnants of its extraordinary history – prehistoric man, Vikings, medieval Welsh princes can all be traced in the landscape.
"We are delighted to be able to offer field trips to draw attention to such rich and diverse history. This is an excellent opportunity to discover the wealth of history on the university’s doorstep."
The free tour, by the School of History, Philosophy and Social Sciences, is being held on Sunday, July 7.
