A MAN was assaulted, robbed and knocked unconscious during a 'nasty attack' in Bethesda.

The 20-year-old victim was walking on Bethesda High Street, at approximately 1.30am, on Saturday June 15. He was assaulted, had his mobile phone and cash stolen.

PC Daniel Dent of North Wales Police said: “This was a nasty attack as the victim was knocked unconscious, therefore we are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information to contact us.”

An 18-year-old local man was arrested a few days later on suspicion of robbery and he has since been released on bail with conditions.

Enquiries are ongoing including viewing CCTV footage and anybody who can assist the investigation is asked to contact officers at Bangor Police Station on 101 or via the live web chat by quoting reference number X082874.
