A SHOPPING CENTRE in the heart of Bangor has been put up for auction.

The Deiniol Shopping centre located on the city’s High Street features nearly 30 shop units within it, with brands such as Claire’s, Iceland, Vodafone and Specsavers among its current occupants.

The 52,000 sq ft site is on the market for a guide price of £300,000 and commercial agent, Allsop, who are handling the sale, say there has already been interest from local, national and international firms with regards to buying it.

Allsop’s Will Clough said: “The general view that most of the interested parties are taking is that they will come in and manage the centre as it is, as well as potentially reduce the outgoings.

“People see this as a good opportunity as the Deiniol Centre is located right in the middle of the city.

“The £300,000 is a guide price and we hope with the significant interest the final price at auction will be higher than that.”

The Deiniol Shopping Centre, open is currently managed by Legat Owen estate agents, who deal with any letting, commercialisation and managing agent enquiries.

The auction for the centre will take place at the Berkeley in Knightsbridge on July 9.
