North Wales is bracing itself for heavy downpours on Tuesday with a 12-hour yellow weather warning in place.

The Met Office issued a warning of rain for all of north Wales from 12am until 12 noon.

It comes on the back of a thunderstorm warning that is in place for most of the region on Monday.

Heavy rain is possible on Tuesday morning and may cause travel disruption.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.

"Where flooding occurs, there is a chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.

"Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures."
