AN INVESTIGATION has been launched by emergency services after a caravan was set on fire at a Gwynedd caravan park.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to attend the incident at the Pall Mall Caravan Park in Tywyn at 2:15am.
Fire crews from Aberdyfi and Dolgellau were sent to the scene and determined that the fire was caused deliberately.
The static caravan sustained 100% fire damage but there are no reports of any injuries.
North Wales Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service are investigating the incident. It is believed that a canister of propane could have played a key role in the blaze.
A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue said: "Local crews attended a static caravan fire in Tywyn in the early hours of this morning which was thought to be deliberate – remember deliberate fires cost lives."
