A NEW exhibition by Iraqi-born Nasera Kadhem Hamdan entitled The Best of Both Worlds is at Canolfan Beaumaris.
Nasera graduated from Bangor University in 1980 and after returning to Iraq to teach at the University of Baghdad and the University of Salah Aldeen, in 2004 she came with her husband to live in Bangor.
Her exhibition Beaumaris was opened by former MP for Conwy Betty Williams, who said: "I first met Nasera and her husband as their MP soon after they came to live in Wales.
"She has become inspired by the beauty of North Wales and combines this with nostalgic memories of Iraq."
Nasera said: “My artwork truly comes from my heart.
"My Art is the result of my love of colours and response to my personal experience of life which I hope to share with you."
The Best of Both Worlds runs until June 28.
