Susan Elan Jones MP has met with representatives from the National Lottery Community Fund to talk about the funding of community projects in Clwyd South.
Since 2009, the Community Fund (previously The Big Lottery Fund) has awarded more than £8.2 million to 171 projects across Clwyd South. Recent projects include support for a community hall in Horseman’s Green, the Camp at the Castle programme in Chirk and the South Denbighshire Community Partnership’s ‘Your Place or Ours’ scheme which helps isolated older people.
Following the meeting, Susan Elan Jones MP said: “I was very pleased to meet with representatives of the National Lottery Community Fund as I think supporting local projects is an important part of an MP’s job.
"I would urge all local groups to take a look at the National Lottery Community Fund website to see if they might be eligible for support. It’s important we all work together to get the best for our area.”
