A man accused of punching his girlfriend and kicking her woman friend to the head “as if he were kicking a football” in Caernarfon town centre was remanded in custody by a court on Thursday.
Jason Lee Roberts, 30, of Menai View, Caernarfon, who was the subject of a police appeal to find him, left Helena Foulkes with a dislocated eye socket and broken nose, the prosecution said. James Neary, prosecuting at Llandudno court, told a district judge that the victim needed two operations and Roberts had a history of violence.
Roberts pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm. He also admitted common assault on Luke Phillips who he’d allegedly punched repeatedly.
Mr Neary said Mr Phillips had been walking through the town centre when he came across the defendant arguing with his partner Anthea Davies and her friend.
Roberts denied common assault on Miss Davies and there will be a trial before magistrates next month.
Sion Hughes, defending, made no application for bail.
Roberts was remanded in custody. The district judge indicated the assault causing actual bodily harm charge should be sentenced in the crown court due to the ferocity of the attack.
