A BRAND new charity shop - which aims to donate the money it makes from sales towards local community groups - has opened on Bangor High Street.
The St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) community is inviting anyone who wants to make a donation, volunteer, or make a purchase of affordable quality second hand items, to pop in.
Proceeds from sales will go towards helping local community organisations out via the SVP’s Welsh volunteers based in surrounding areas.
Every year, the volunteers of the St Vincent de Paul Society help hundreds of thousands of people around England and Wales by providing them with friendship and practical support.
St Vincent’s community shops also provide another source of support for local communities, offering volunteer and employment opportunities as well as affordable quality products.
Bangor shop manager Hayley Pritchard says: “I’m really looking forward to welcoming the local Bangor community into our St Vincent’s community shop.
"We’re here to serve people locally and offer friendship and a listening ear, as well as goods for sale”.
St Vincent’s is situated at 222 High Street, Bangor, LL57.
