AN Anglesey band says it is “honoured” to play year’s Zip World Rocks, 2019 (ZipRock) festival.

The Atoms are to perform at the event at Penrhyn quarry, Bethesda, on Saturday, June 15 to raise money for the ‘LoveHopeStrength’ cancer foundation. Headliners are 90s Britpop legends CAST, with a set from Mike Peters MBE, of the band The Alarm, who is organising the fundraising event.

The Atoms band member Rich Williams said: “It is a huge honour for us to play on the same line-up at probably the biggest gig any Anglesey band has ever had. It will be our first live performance featuring our amazing new lead vocalist Charli Lamont.”

The Atoms, with members Mathew Cave, bass and backing vocals, Charli Lamont, lead vocals, Brett Hughes, drums and backing vocals, Jeff Palmer, lead and rhythm guitar and Richard William on lead and rhythm guitar.

The band is running a return coach, with stops across Anglesey, for anyone interested in going. Return coach tickets are £10. For more information contact The Atoms on: 07447 948537 or see @AngleseyAtoms or social media.
