AN ELECTRICAL fault caused by a phone charger is believed to have caused a house fire on Anglesey.

North Wales Fire and Rescue service say three crews were called to tackle a blaze at Pencraig in Llangefni at around 8.37pm last night (Friday, May 3).

They added that they were called to reports of a fire in the first floor bedroom of the house. The blaze was put out on arrival and damage was confined to just the bedroom.

An investigation has put the cause down to an electrical fault which may have been caused by a phone charger - however this cannot be definitively confirmed as of yet.

The blaze came just two days after another building in Llangefni - previously belonging to Ysgol Y Bont - had also caught fire.

The derelict site, opposite Home Bargains on Bridge Street, sustained 20% fire and 100% smoke damage.
