FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a blaze at a former school site in Llangefni in the early hours of this morning.
Four fire crews from the Town itself, Benllech, Menai Bridge and Bangor were called to the derelict building on Bridge Street, which was once part of Ysgol Y Bont, at 12.10pm.
An aerial ladder platform, two main jets, one hose reel and four breathing apparatuses were used to help put the fire out by 3.25am. The Fire Service say the building sustained 20% fire and 100% smoke damage.
Firefighters are now back at the scene to try and determine the cause of the blaze.
