COLWYN Bay's monthly comedy night is back with a bang on and an award-winning line-up this month.

Stand-up at the Seaside celebrates its second birthday with Sony award winner and Edinburgh- nominated Tom Wrigglesworth topping the bill at the Station on Saturday, April 27 at 8pm.

Getting his 'wriggle' on in Colwyn Bay, Sheffield-born Wrigglesworth is one of the finest acts on the circuit, best known for his live storytelling shows and BBC Radio comedy programmes which take a comical and emotional look at family relationships.

He is the creator of the highly-acclaimed Radio 4 comedy Tom Wrigglesworth’s Hang-Ups and is also a regular on The Rhod Gilbert Show on Radio Wales.

April’s comedy night will also feature the brilliant unique Vince Atta, a winner of the coveted City Life North West comedian of the Year competition. Using a multi-track looper, Vince creates a live, on-the-spot fusion of hip-hop, reggae, techno and anything else with natural stand-up, storytelling and audience interaction.

They are joined by Morgan Rees, a softly spoken Welshman and rising star of the UK circuit as well as the returning joke competition, which provides the audience with the chance to win prizes.

Dave Rothnie, compere and promoter of Stand up at the Seaside, said: “We’ve got one of our best line-ups to coincide with The Forties festival in Colwyn Bay.”

“The town should be buzzing all day so for anyone who fancies a laugh this is the best way to round things off.”

Stand-up at the Seaside is located upstairs at the Station pub in Colwyn Bay.

Tickets are £12.50, to book tickets and tables visit or contact The Station pub on 01492 532818 or email dcrothnie@gmail.com.
