AN annual open studios event is set to celebrate the vibrant arts community on Anglesey.

Organisers of the Anglesey Arts Weeks Open Studios and Galleries event have launched their guide to the annual activity.

Between Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 28, Anglesey-based painters, sculptors, photographers, filmmakers, printmakers, installation artists and craftworkers will open their studios to visitors.

This year’s guide features profiles of the artists taking part, as well as studio opening times and address details.

There is also a handy fold out map to help visitors plan their route around the island and it lists details of free guided walks that will be taking place at various locations as part of the event.

The open studios and galleries event is now in its sixteenth year, and is always held over Easter. It is the biggest art event held on the island, attracting visitors from all over the UK, with over 50 artists taking part.

Galleries taking part include the Ucheldre Centre, David Hughes Centre, Oriel Môn, Oriel Tegfryn, Oriel Glyn Davies, Janet Bell Gallery, Oriel Ger Y Fenai, Canolfan Beaumaris, LL65 Emporium, and Rhosneigr Village Hall.

A PDF copy of the guide is available to download at www.angleseyartsforum.org and hard copies have been distributed across Anglesey and North Wales.
