MALLY FC have completed the 2018/19 Rhyl & District Sunday League season with a 100% record.

The champions' 8-0 win over The Sun on Sunday made it 16 wins out of 16 and saw them finish 14 points clear of second place Bar Bow.

Sam Tidswell opened the scoring on 25mins to give the home side a 1-0 at half time, before Lee Ellis (3), Francesco Gallina (2), Jamie Moorhouse and Nathan Watson completed the scoreline.

Bar Bow finished the season as runners-up following a thrilling 5-3 win over The Alex, who have finished in third in their very first season.

Ben Seager put the visitors in front before Bar Bow equalised. McKenzie Slaven then put The Alex back in front and Jamie Edwards made it 3-1. An incredible late run-around and a flurry of goals from Bar Bow saw them come out on top in the end and secure second place.

In the third and final game on Sunday, The Swan Inn condemned Towyn Rangers to finishing second to last in the table as they hammered them 7-1 thanks to goals from Matt Toole (3), Kai Howard (2), Matty Edge and Chris Bower who scored his first goal for the club. Steve Flanagan hit a consolation goal for Towyn.

Next week's only fixture is the Premier Cup semi-final between Bar Bow and The Sun, the winner of which will face Mally at Cae Derw on April 28.

A general meeting of the league will take place this Thursday at the Victory Club (7.45pm).
