THE second stage rally of Anglesey Circuit's 2019 Motorsport season gets underway next weekend and has been organised by the Stockport 016 Motor Club.

Taking place on Sunday, April 14, the event will see a quality range of both senior and junior racers compete.

It will feature rounds of numerous regional association championships including the Association of North Western Car Clubs, JD Tyres Welsh National Tarmacadam Championship and SD34 Motorsport Group Championships, as well as a round of the Junior 1000 Championship.

Leading entries received so far are John Stone in the Legend Fires supported Fiesta WRC, Nigel Jones in his Subaru S9 WRC, Peter Smith in the Greenlight Sports & Entertainment sponsored car and Anglesey regular Dave Willett in his popular red, white and yellow Ford Escort Mk 2.

The senior event is joined by 18 juniors in the favoured Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107 cars. Keep your eyes on these young stars as they are the future of rallying.

Clerk of the Course, Phil Hesketh, has been working hard at the grindstone with the stage diagrams and competitors are sure of a work-out throughout the day.
