The PORTHMADOG bypass has reopened following a collision between a van and an HGV.
Earlier North Wales Police tweeted: “The bypass between Porthmadog and Penrhyndeudraeth is closed for vehicle recovery following a collision between a HGV and a van just before 9am today, One person has been flown to hospital in Stoke with serious injuries.”
Subsequently the police issued a tweet making an appeal for witnesses: “Can you help? We're appealing for witnesses following a serious collision near Porthmadog earlier today which involved a HGV and a van. Anybody who may have witnessed or who may have dash cam footage is asked to contact us on 101 quoting ref X040474 http://socsi.in/UATgI .”
Diversions have been in place throughout the day.
